Don Thompson Tribute Act to Garth Brooks & Alan Jackson, With Bernie Jessome Entertainment

Don Thompson began his impersonation career with SK Productions based out of Toronto, Ontario early in 1996. At that time Don also worked with the legendary Stars Tribute from Hamilton, Ontario. In late 1996 Don attained the company SK productions and changed the name to Sunny Side Productions—The hits Tribute Tours. As owner and performer he has worked all across Ontario and into the United States performing for many different charities and corporations.

In January 1999 Don joined the roster of “Legends in Concert” (Las Vegas, Nevada) appearing daily at their theatre in the Sheraton Center Hotel in downtown Toronto, Ontario. Don also appeared at “Legends in Concert” Theatres across the border in Kentucky, Mississippi and Branson, Missouri.

More recently Don has had the opportunity to work for Toronto-based promoter Progressive Concerts “Legends Alive” production taking him across Canada and the United States, including the western Canada tour “Rock ‘n Country 2000, 2001 and 2002”. This production performs in 15 cities over 21 days. As well, both of Don’s impersonation acts Entertainer of the Decade Garth Brooks and Arista Recording Artist Alan Jackson showcased at this year’s Calgary Stampede.

Don has performed as the opening act for the 1998 North American Tour of the 1970’s “Super Group” the Stampeders as well as the 1998 CMA Award nominees—Thomas Wade and Wayward. Don had the privilege of performing as Garth Brooks for Mrs. Donna Presley-Early (Elvis’ first cousin) as part of the 65th birthday celebrations in honour of Elvis Presley—”Artist of the Century” at Hamilton Place in January 2000. His most recent performance with a legend was this past December when he had the opportunity to perform along side “Rockin” Ronny Hawkins during a Christmas celebration.
